Positive: The lady that checked me in was very kind, room was clean. Loved that they provided dove liquid hand soap instead of the yucky bars. Breakfast was good as well. Negative: Only negative was the curtains. DoSome of the hooks were broken so i had to figure out a way to close them completely to keep the sun out

travelers beware, I wish I could give this hotel a below zero rating. Service here was beyond rude. As a group of traveling musicians, we had just came from a long 13 hour through some very rough weather. All we wanted we a nice comfy bed to reset and be ready for the next day however that was interrupted by the very cranky desk clerk we decided to mark our reservation as a no show. The receptionist, Savannah (no name tag) informed us their policy is to mark all bookings after 3am as a no show, we arrived at 3:14am. This policy is not listed on IHG's website or expedia page. The page explains that you have until 12 noon the next day to check in, and there's a 24 desk clerk.

Policy aside, this woman never once looked at me. She just kept filling her paperwork while she told me she canceled my booking and I would have to book a new room if I wanted to stay. When I asked why and she stated the policy, I politely asked to see where I could've found that information, and she declined to help me. Hospitality is something I look for when I'm traveling and to treated so poorly as a welcome when we were all so exhausted felt so gross. We ended up booking a stay anyways since we were so tired only to have a couple show-up to check in with no issues as we were loading our bags. Not sure why Savannah decided to literally scam us into being charged twice for a mid-hotel.

As an employee with Holiday in express. This is the worst time I had. As we checked in on September 12. Asked the girl that was in the front desk that I need to extend my stay for another night for the two rooms I had booked. She told me that she did not have room's available. She was to busy intertaing men. Very Racis over Hispanics. Then in the morning come down to see if they could extend my stay and the girl that was still there from night audit was able to extend my stay. So then my uncle was letting me know that there was some issues in the room so I let the lady that was there that took over after night audit left. White femal with long blond hair was very rude racis to the max. Never smiled never said good morning. Oh but when other guests that were her same skine color she welcomed them with a good morning how are you this morning smiling joking around with them. I was in disbelief. And we were up there for a funeral. As is we were feeling sad and this just made things very horrible.

Desperately needs an overhaul and update. Carpet is lumpy and a trip hazard down every hallway. It also smells awful down the hallways. Our first room was ok, then the toilet began to drip and they moved us to the 1st floor. Paint is chipped off all the walls, the lamp shades have writing on them, and the worst is there is a large water stain on the ceiling above the shower indicated previous water damage which could mean mold. The shower curtain did not work, it was torn etc so water got on the floor from that. My youngest slept on the pull out sofa and I felt awful having her do so considering the mattress was ripping in two. This is unacceptable, but it was after 10 and I had 3 tired kids that needed to go to bed. Get rid of all the carpet. It stinks and is a dust collector. If it wasn’t so late we would have moved hotels. One positive note is the staff were friendly. I do not recommend staying here.

Great, clean and comfortable room! Wonderful hot breakfast items(does scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and gravy tempt you) that include freshly made hot coffee. Wireless internet kept me busy during my stay here and the convenience of access to I 27, made it easy to get in and out. Here are 3 pluses... great rates, indoor swimming pool, and a workout center. Give Holiday Inn Express a try next time you are in Lubbock!

Hey Savannah, or whatever your real name might be(the night shift worker) i find it quite ironic that you have a job in hospitality-yet are a ridiculously rude and an inhospitable person. It can’t be terribly difficult do work the night shift-you end up speaking with like 5-10 people max So why have such an attitude while doing your job

We had made a reservation ~5 hours before arriving at the hotel, yet when we arrived-our reservation was canceled. Only to find out it was done at her discretion-she then went on to say that there was something on the website saying stating that checking is at 3-so we asked her to show us exactly what she was referring to. She declined to show us-after bringing up that stipulation herself.

This is terribly run, and it’s unfortunate as someone who has stayed at IHG hotels many nights a year in a touring band to have to have our rest / shelter for the night just taken away from us on a whim.

IHG, fix this.

THEY HAVE GIVEN UP...July 2024 stay. Several items not working, ice machines, hot tub= Cold tub , they didn't even bother with signage that it's broken. Notice per other reviews this stuff has been broken for months!Rooms also getting worn down/ out of date (small microwave, small tv, ancient loud air conditioner). As others commented can't close window shades. Hall carpets badly torn up. Hair in shower from last guest at least it's only one?! ROOM 133, Bad, Avoid!!!, notice they're just cutting and pasting responses. Seems like they gave up trying!!!! And they're too busy jacking the prices up to answer these reviews with a real response!!

Great place to stop for the night. Everyone was friendly, and room is quiet and comfortable. I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was great in the morning also. Everything was hot and tasty. They are a bit hard to find, and lots of turns to get there. I would not have any issue staying here again.
