I was going through a hard time and needed a place to stay to clear my head. I decided on this hotel due to it being close to my home, reasonably priced, and I've had mostly good experiences with Holiday Inns. ||The first thing I saw was one of the front desk employees smiling at me, and it wasn't a formality, she truly seemed happy to be there. Her name is Andrea, and as you will see below she is amazing ? You don't see the type of customer service skills she has at places this cheap. ||The room I got is/was OK, I got two queens ɓut they were booked so I didnt mind. There are some stains in the carpet and some signs of age but overall it looked clean, the beds are comfortable and the AC was above average. Shower had middling power but was nice and hot. Towels are rough. I would say it's slightly below the Holiday Inn standard I'm used to. ||So far pretty standard. However, the customer service here is next level good, and I mean GOOD. I realized I had forgotten my phone charger and the one in the room would not dial out. I thought I was screwed. I called the front desk and to my amazement Andrea had a brand new charger she let me use for my stay no charge. I haven't seen that level of service since I stayed at a Ritz Carlton. As I was in a bad place mentally, this really brightened my day. In fact Andrea was the happiest and most helpful employee I've seen in years, and I am so thankful and lucky she was working that day. ||Without Andrea's customer service I would easily say this is 2.5/5 but her attitude, attention to detail and service ups this to a 5/5 experience.

Despite the hotel's location, the exceptional staff surpasses the service of a typical 5-star hotel. Their friendliness and professionalism make guests feel welcome and at home. The hotel's cleanliness is impressive, and the well-prepared, abundant, and delicious breakfast, especially Mrs. Mara's oatmeal, adds to the positive experience. Despite the area being unsafe for walking, the hotel's clean and new rooms make it worth considering a return visit.

Ich kann die Rezessionen über die Lage und Obdachlosigkeit hier nachvollziehen. Als wir ankamen, haben wir auch mit einem komischen Bauchgefühl geparkt, als wir die dreckigen Straßen und Obdachlosen gesehen haben.
Das Hotel hat diesen Anblick aber komplett abgegrenzt. Das Holiday Inn ist super sauber und gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiterin m Empfang war freundlich & es ging alles sehr schnell. Die Zimmer waren geräumig, die Badezimmer sauber & das Frühstück hat auch gereicht. Das Parken vor Ort ist kostenlos und überwacht. Nach 19 Uhr kommt man auch nur noch mit Zimmerkarte in das Hotel. Ich hatte dann keine Angst mehr vor der Gegend.

This hotel is ridiculously overpriced. It is just a standard Holiday Inn Express, and one night was over $250 including tax. The only reason we stayed here was that the trip was spur of the moment, and it was all we could find available. The neighborhood it is in is questionable. Lots of homeless and tents on the streets. You can't take a walk anywhere without feeling unsafe. The staff were what made up for the overpriced stay. Particularly the woman checking us in late at night who made us feel comfortable and appreciated. There were no gluten-free bakery items on the breakfast buffet, which is usually available at other Holiday Inn Express locations. I'd never stay here again.

Great Holiday Inn hotel. Good breakfat options. Rooms spacious and super clean. The only downside is the location! It is close to metro, bus stations, and easily accessible. The problem is the same as for the ALL others downtown accommodations. Homeless drug abuse all around the area 24/7. But the hotel management can't do anything about it. I'm so sorry for them.

Warning! Do not stay in this hotel! This was the worst Holiday Inn Express we ever had. We have been fans of the Holiday Inn with Platinum Elite status for a while now. Our experience with this hotel started with a strong urine smell at the entrance and a lot of homeless people around. I understand the hotel is not responsible for the homeless individuals in the area, but they need to maintain their property to address these strong odors. Additionally, the hallway on our floor also smelled bad, like a wet dog or rotten water. Furthermore, the faucets and doors in our room were not well maintained. It took a lot of effort to turn on the waters. The A/C also smelled like mold. To add on, the staff in this hotel were very unfriendly, and they weren't even at the front desk for a lot of the time. Finally, we didn't have access to the WIFI for two days due to an outage and did not receive any notification or compensation.

The hotel was clean and modern, the staff at the front desk was friendly and efficient, the room predictable but pleasant and comfortable. |Problems: the elevators were maddeningly slow. There is no a/c in the gym. |WORST of all is the neighborhood. Drug users and dealers were active right below our window; the streets and sidewalks are full of litter, homeless tents, and street music. none of that is the hotel's fault, and security seems to be good, but it made our stay less pleasant. We were afraid to step outside the hotel; we only drove out. The neighborhood will keep us from ever staying here again. Sorry, HIE.
